Ailsa has extensive experience of managing both people and processes in NHS theatre environments. She began her professional career in HR, training and recruitment, but chose to pursue a clinical vocation, qualifying as an ODP in 2011, and gaining many years of experience as both a Scrub Practitioner and Surgical First Assistant across a wide range of surgical specialties before progressing to the role of Deputy Theatre Manager in a busy general hospital. She joined Medacs in 2023 and is committed to ensuring the insourcing teams she leads provide the best experience and outcomes for patients, whilst driving teams forward to help clear NHS waiting times.
